Catie McQuistan, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who brings warmth, attentiveness, and deep clinical knowledge to every visit. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois in 2016 and has been practicing primary care ever since.
After working in the Chicago area, Catie returned to Nebraska to be closer to family and continue her career in a more personal care setting. At Internal Medicine Physicians of Omaha, she focuses on preventive care, mental health, and acute concerns, with a strong commitment to education and trust-building.

She has a special interest in mental wellness, and takes extra care with patients who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of what they need. Catie believes that clear communication and open conversation are essential to helping people feel empowered about their health.
As a mother and a longtime patient educator, Catie knows that trust takes time—and that the best health outcomes come from a provider who not only treats symptoms, but connects with you on a human level.

Catie’s clinical interests revolve around whole-person wellness, with a particular focus on how mental health, lifestyle habits, and preventive care intersect in everyday primary care. She is passionate about exploring how consistent communication, early intervention, and patient education improve outcomes in both acute and chronic conditions.
She’s especially interested in the growing role of mental health screening and support within family medicine, particularly for young adults and new parents. Catie regularly attends continuing education on emotional wellness, stress-related illness, and patient communication strategies that lead to stronger engagement and long-term success.
Catie also stays current on best practices for managing common acute conditions in the primary care setting—from upper respiratory infections to skin conditions—ensuring her patients receive evidence-based care that’s both effective and reassuring.
Catie lives in Omaha with her husband and two lovely daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, time outdoors, reading, traveling, attending Husker sporting events, and golfing whenever she can. As a new parent herself, she understands the importance of care that’s flexible, empathetic, and tailored to your family’s real-world needs.
