Dr. Leanne Galvan is a board-certified nurse practitioner who brings more than 15 years of bedside and advanced nursing experience to her work at Internal Medicine Physicians of Omaha. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Nebraska Methodist College and holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Nebraska–Omaha.
Before becoming an APRN, Leanne worked for over a decade as an ICU nurse—an experience that shaped her deep respect for timely, compassionate, and thorough medical care. Today, she’s known for blending that same attentiveness with an empowering, education-focused approach to long-term wellness.

Leanne Galvan's Care Philosophy
Leanne believes that healthcare works best when it’s built on partnership. She listens without judgment, takes the time to explain what’s going on, and helps each person feel confident in the next steps of their care. Her calm, compassionate style helps patients feel comfortable, even when facing complex conditions.
With a strong foundation in critical care, Leanne is trained to spot concerns early—but she’s just as passionate about prevention. She enjoys helping patients create long-term plans around nutrition, screenings, hormones, and stress management to stay ahead of illness whenever possible.
Leanne is especially interested in educting and guiding women through hormonal changes. As a certified BioTE® provider, she uses bioidentical hormone therapy when appropriate to support energy, mood, and whole-body wellness—always customizing care to each person’s stage of life.
